About the Group

Welcome to the Balaton Group website! Visitors are welcome to explore the history of this network and view many of our documents. Members can sign in at the link above.

Purpose of the Balaton Group

To accelerate and deepen the world's general understanding of three factors that are fundamental to sustainable development:

Balaton Group Members

Balaton Group is a cross-disciplinary, multi-cultural, and inter-generational meeting point for leaders and thinkers in sustainable development. Since its first meeting, over 400 participants from over 40 countries have participated in the Group's annual meeting and ongoing dialogues and projects. About one-third of the participants have been women. Membership in the Balaton Group is by invitation only.
